It cant be 012 bcause in the second one it is mentioned that a number is present but wrongly placed and since in that 1 is in middle and hence 1 cant be in middle so it has to be in first place but first place is occupied by 0 and the last place is occupied by 2 there fore the only place left for 1 is the middle position on which it cant be by second cndtn. Therefore 012 is not correct and 042 is
Let the statements be A,B,C,D and E. Now from Statements A,B,D we know that one of the digit is 2 and well placed(third place). from statements C and E we know that another digit is 0 and its place is first in the code. finally from statement B we now know that 4 is the remaining digit of the code and its place is second in the code. Hence the code is 0 4 2
*First you see the 4th row and clarify that doesn't has the 7 or 3 or 8 *Then check the last condition 8 and 7 to be neglected easily so zero is the answer number but it is wrongly placed so it is placed in first two positions *On seeing third condition zero placed in second position it is also wrong position so clarify it to place zero in first position and the another number in the third condition is 2 but it is not in correct place then u see the first condition then 2 placed in third position *At last you find the last number See the second condition =one number is correct and wrongly placed the remaining two places in the answer are already placed so u need to place in the middle position so u have two numbers 6 and 4 but 6 doesn't satisfy the first condition So the answer is 042
Clear Explanation: All numbers are: 6 8 2 1 4 0 7 3 - in the 4th condition, 7 3 8 are all not correct. Remaining numbers: 6 2 1 4 0 - in the 5th condition, 8 7 0 , only 0 is correct. - in the 1st condition, 6 8 2 , 8 is already not correct, assumingly, if 6 is the correct number and well placed, it will not satisfy the 2nd condition because there is only one number is correct BUT wrong placed, meaning, it is not 6 but it is 2. - in the 3rd condition, two numbers are correct but wrong placed, obviously, it is 2 and 0. 2 must placed in the last of the code and 0 in the first. - in the 2nd condition, 6 1 4, 6 is not correct, so we are choosing between 1 and 4. We have already 0 in the first of the code and 2 in the last, the missing number is placed in the middle. Assumingly, if 1 is the correct number then it should be well placed, but the condition is, "one number is correct but wrong placed" , meaning, it is not 1, but number 4.
because in the 1st condition, it shows that 2 is the correct number then in the 5th condition, it also shows that 0 is the correct number . Now look at the 3rd condition 2 0 6, " two numbers are correct and wrong place, that's why it can't be 6 ..
*First you see the 4th row and clarify that doesn't has the 7 or 3 or 8 *Then check the last condition 8 and 7 to be neglected easily so zero is the answer number but it is wrongly placed so it is placed in first two positions *On seeing third condition zero placed in second position it is also wrong position so clarify it to place zero in first position and the another number in the third condition is 2 but it is not in correct place then u see the first condition then 2 placed in third position *At last you find the last number See the second condition =one number is correct and wrongly placed the remaining two places in the answer are already placed so u need to place in the middle position so u have two numbers 6 and 4 but 6 doesn't satisfy the first condition So the answer is 042
What does 'nothing is correct' mean? Does it tell about improper arrangements only or incorrect numbers as well? If it's just about improper arrangements then answer would be different. That statement looks confusing to me.
The answer will be 062 if you look at the conditions as 'atleast' for example: atleast " one number is correct and well placed". The answer is 042 if u look at the conditions as 'only' ie. Only " two numbers are correct and wrongly placed" for example..
Does this make sense..anyone else follow this logic??
Why not 062
ReplyDelete6 is not satisfying first two condition.
Deleteeven i got 062 ,, and i cant understand how it does not satisfy the 1st two conditions,,somebody care to explain??
Deleteohh ,,, i figured it out, 062 does not satisfy the 3rd argument.
Deleteit sayisfy the 3th argument
DeleteIf a number doesnt satisfy an argument the number doesnt exist
DeleteWhy not 102?
DeleteWhy can't be 012
ReplyDeleteDoes not satisfy 2nd condition. The correct answer is indeed 042

DeleteThe correct answer is 042
DeleteY it cant be 102, or 402I ended up with 3 solutions including 042
ReplyDeleteI get it

I dint get the answer, Please explain in details
DeleteAnyone noticed that the answer is 042 :D :D
ReplyDeleteThe Answer to everything ...hahahahaha...Worth Mentioning
anyone can explain briefly???????
ReplyDelete*First you see the 4th row and clarify that doesn't has the 7 or 3 or 8
Delete*Then check the last condition 8 and 7 to be neglected easily so zero is the answer number but it is wrongly placed so it is placed in first two positions
*On seeing third condition zero placed in second position it is also wrong position so clarify it to place zero in first position and the another number in the third condition is 2 but it is not in correct place then u see the first condition then 2 placed in third position
*At last you find the last number
See the second condition =one number is correct and wrongly placed the remaining two places in the answer are already placed so u need to place in the middle position so u have two numbers 6 and 4 but 6 doesn't satisfy the first condition
So the answer is 042
Thanx for perfect clarification.
DeleteBest answer.
Clear Explanation:
ReplyDeleteAll numbers are: 6 8 2 1 4 0 7 3
- in the 4th condition, 7 3 8 are all not correct.
Remaining numbers: 6 2 1 4 0
- in the 5th condition, 8 7 0 , only 0 is correct.
That's why the answer is: 042
I don't understand ..why 6 and 1 isn't correct????
DeleteI don't understand ..why 6 and 1 isn't correct????
Deletebecause in the 1st condition, it shows that 2 is the correct number then in the 5th condition, it also shows that 0 is the correct number . Now look at the 3rd condition 2 0 6, " two numbers are correct and wrong place, that's why it can't be 6 ..
Delete052

ReplyDeleteY can't be 602 ?
ReplyDeleteGuyz its 042
ReplyDelete042
ReplyDeleteY it can't be 102 ??
ReplyDeleteY u only choose 4 instead of 1 ??
*First you see the 4th row and clarify that doesn't has the 7 or 3 or 8
Delete*Then check the last condition 8 and 7 to be neglected easily so zero is the answer number but it is wrongly placed so it is placed in first two positions
So the answer is 042
SanA
Got it....
ReplyDeleteYes good 042
